Richard Hayden Hired to Design and Build Derby Field


Wellington Lifestyle Partners (WLP) has hired renowned turf specialist Richard Hayden of Hayden Turfcare to design and build the derby field within the new showgrounds complementing the existing Wellington International venue. 


Hayden, B.Agr.Sc., C.Sc., M.Eng., is one of the industry’s most experienced professional sports turf consultants, with a portfolio of more than 250 projects in 42 countries. With deep equestrian expertise, Hayden has led projects for some of the industry’s most prestigious venues, including the RDS Arena in Dublin, Hickstead Arena in Sussex, CSIO Madrid Showjumping arena, Chantilly Showjumping Arena, and the 2012 London Olympics. He has also served as the lead consultant for a variety of other international sporting events and championships including the FIFA World Cup and the UEFA EURO Championships.
